Apprenticeships - Bethany Ingham, a former Brune Park student who applied for various apprenticeships in Year 11, was accepted onto a placement with Airbus. Still only 17 years old, she is already well on the road to a successful career in engineering, and talks about the application process and her day to day role as an apprentice. Music Industry - For this very insightful session  on non-performing careers in the music industry, we were joined by Cameron Hamilton, Founder and Events Manager of Arclight Promotions, UK Charity Music Event Management, who talked to us about his career to date and different pathways into this competitive industry. Nursing - We were joined by Laura Jay, a former student who is now a children's nurse at Southampton General Hospital. Laura talked to us about routes into nursing and her life in this extremely challenging, demanding but rewarding job. Her talk can be heard here.

Performing Arts - We were so excited to be joined for this session by James Hume, a former student who is now a successful musical theatre actor, and has played principal roles in the West End and internationally, in shows such as Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera and Mary Poppins.  You can hear his extremely helpful and inspiring talk here.

Politics/Civil Service - Matt, a former Bay House student, is now a Policy Advisor in the Cabinet Office, working to coordinate foreign and defence policy across government, including the international response to Covid-19.  The recording can be accessed here.

Project Management - Ex-Bay House student Hannah Douglass shares her experiences of getting into Project Management with BAE Systems on their Graduate Scheme. Many of us don't know what we want to do in life when we leave school, college, or even after we graduate, so her story is particularly reassuring for students who don't yet have everything planned out.
