Apprentice Construction Inspector - Portsmouth City Council, Hampshire

During your apprenticeship you will work alongside Construction Inspectors and Contract Administrators to ensure high-quality project delivery, carrying out site inspections and leading on smaller schemes such as fire door installations and repairs. You'll monitor compliance with building regulations, quality standards, and health and safety requirements, challenge contractors where needed, and support value-for-money outcomes. The role involves regular site reporting, attending project meetings, and assisting with surveys including snagging and defect inspections, with work at height using access equipment as required.

Monday to Friday, shifts to be confirmed. £26,473 a year. Potential to progress up to £32,061 over the course of the apprenticeship.

You will learn professional salon skills while working alongside experienced stylists gaining hands-on experience. Your role will include but is not limited to:

• Welcoming clients and providing excellent customer service

• Assist stylists during client appointments

• Shampoo, condition and treat hair and scalp

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic salon environment

Your role will be to support landlords and tenants in ensuring their homes are safe, liveable and healthy, as well as carrying out enforcement activities when landlords do not comply.
