Work Experience

Work Experience for Year 10 and Lower Sixth Students 2026:

We are really pleased to be able to offer students the opportunity to take part in work experience during June and July 2026. The work experience dates have been set around key activities in school and to avoid clashes with other schools and sixth forms looking for work experience placements.

The dates have been set as:

Bay House Year 10 - a full week, five day placement from 17 to 21 May 2027

The Link Year 10 - a five day placement from 17 to 21 May 2027

Bay House Lower Sixth - a five day placement from 28 June to 2 July 2027

Marine and Maritime Students - a two week placement from 28 June to 9 July 2027

We would encourage all Year 10 and Lower Sixth students to take part in this opportunity. 

Students are responsible for finding their own work experience placement by approaching companies directly.

We have listed some opportunities at the bottom of the page.

Deadlines for submitting the online form: 

The Link's work experience forms need to be submitted on Unifrog by Friday 16 April 2027.

Year 10 work experience forms need to be submitted on Unifrog by Friday 16 April 2027.

Lower Sixth forms need to be submitted on Unifrog by Friday 14 May 2027.

Students choosing not to go out on work experience for any reason will be expected to attend school, in full uniform and take part in timetabled lessons.
