Meet Our Team

Support is on offer with Julia and Amanda at Bay House, and with Sue and Benia for students in the Sixth Form.

Sue - I love working with young people and guiding them to their chosen career path. I help young people by providing information and advice to help them choose realistic choices about their next steps.

I completed my postgraduate careers qualification in 2000 in Kent, then took up my first careers adviser role in Hampshire. Throughout my career I have worked in a variety of different schools, sixth form colleges and FE colleges within Hampshire

Amanda - In 2014 I joined Hampshire Futures as a Careers Advisor. I really enjoy assisting young people with making informed decisions about their next steps when they leave school.

Careers guidance gives a young people the opportunity to explore what is important to them, this could be education, career ideas and aspirations for the future.  My role is to listen and advise of the options available and the pathways they can choose to reach their goals.

Previously I worked as an Employment Advisor providing careers advice and guidance to adults.

Julia - I recently trained as a Careers Advisor in 2018; I currently work in schools and colleges; I love supporting people and helping them to see their full potential.

Our job is to help young people to explore all their optins in a confidentail safe environment, where we can explore your career goals, strengths and interests.

Previously, I worked for B&Q for 30 years and I have a wealth of business knowledge to share.

Benia - I love the satisfaction working in careers gives me - I enjoy helping students to map out their futures and guiding them through the myriad of options available.

After A levels, I did a Psychology degree at Keele University, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance in Manchester.

I've worked as a Careers Adviser for many years and for a while, as a Team Leader. During that time, I've worked in a variety of different schools, colleges and Sixth Forms in Hampshire, as well as in Hong Kong, Cyprus and Gibraltar. Here I worked with the Armed Forces, supporting students attending Britich schools out there. I currently work in two mainstream schools and two sixth forms and I like the variety of the work as well as the independence.
